Phenolic Foam Panel Machine

The phenolic foam board machine is an automated production line system designed specifically for the continuous production of Class A fire-resistant phenolic foam sandwich panels. Drawing on the technology of polyurethane continuous production lines, it features comprehensive corrosion-resistant material upgrades and process adaptations to address the highly corrosive nature and specialized chemical processes of phenolic resin. Its core lies in a dedicated high-pressure stainless steel foaming system. This equipment is crucial for achieving large-scale, high-quality, and stable production of high-performance phenolic insulation panels.
Unlike PU/PIR, the foaming and curing chemical reactions of phenolic resins are unique (e.g., strong acidity and the generation of byproducts during the curing process). Therefore, while similarities exist, production equipment must be specifically designed:

1. Extremely high corrosion resistance requirements: Phenolic resins produce acidic byproducts (such as formic acid and formaldehyde) during the reaction process, which are highly corrosive to metals. Therefore, all equipment components that come into contact with the raw material (such as the foaming machine’s mixing head, tanks, piping, and casting rods) must be made of high-quality stainless steel or specialized corrosion-resistant materials. This is one of the most significant differences from PU production lines.

2. Differences in process control: The curing speed and conditions of phenolic foam differ from those of polyurethane, requiring corresponding adjustments and optimization of the laminator’s temperature, pressure, and line speed.
